From Kerala Farm to Gulf Shelf: New Export Pack House Opens in Malappuram

CG Investment Holding has opened an export pack house in Malappuram, Kerala. The facility was inaugurated on 11 July 2026 by Janab MC Hamza Koya Haji, Patriarch of the family, and is now operating. The pack house consolidates air freight shipments moving out of Calicut and Kannur airports and handles the full process in one place: intake, cold storage, grading, packing, weighing and loading. Produce arrives from sourcing points across northern Kerala and leaves for UAE, Kuwait and other GCC markets.

Why this facility matters more than a building

Air freight of fresh produce is unforgiving. Weight has to be exact, packing has to survive handling, documentation has to clear before the aircraft does, and none of it can wait. Doing those steps across three or four separate locations costs hours the produce does not have. Bringing them under one roof does two things. It cuts the time between a consignment arriving and reaching the aircraft. And it puts quality control at the point where it actually matters, before the goods leave India, rather than after they land. The wider significance is what it completes. CG Investment Holding now operates at both ends of the same supply chain. Produce is consolidated and shipped from Kerala, then received and distributed in the Gulf by CGS Foodstuff in Dubai and by CGS Kuwait and Shuhaib Al Khor in Kuwait. Sourcing, freight, import and distribution now sit inside the same group. For customers in the GCC that means one accountable party across the whole journey. For the group it means the margin and the quality control stay in house rather than being handed to intermediaries at every border.
