CGS Foodstuff Opens New Warehouse and Office at Al Aweer Fresh Market, Dubai
CGS Foodstuff LLC has opened a new warehouse and office at the Fresh Market in Al Aweer, Dubai. The facility gives the company a permanent operating base for its fruit and vegetable distribution business and the capacity to handle the volume it has been growing into since 2023. The facility was inaugurated on 25th Feb 2026 by Sayed Munavvar Ali Shihab Thangal, Secretary of the National Committee of the Indian Union Muslim League and President of the Kerala State Muslim Youth League, who performed the ribbon cutting. He was joined by MC Saleem, Chairman of CG Investment Holding, and Saheer Ibrahim, Director of CGS Foodstuff LLC, along with directors and business partners from across the group.
Why the facility matters
Until now, CGS has operated in the Al Aweer market without a dedicated warehouse of its own. Fresh produce is a business where a day of delay is the difference between a sale and a write-off, so the constraint was real. The new facility brings receiving, sorting, cold handling and dispatch under one roof, alongside the office team that manages sourcing and documentation. In practical terms it does three things. It removes the handling bottleneck that limited how much volume the company could commit to. It shortens the gap between a container landing and produce reaching a customer. And it gives the business room to take on the next stage of growth without renegotiating space every season.
Two years in
CGS Foodstuff was founded in 2023 under CG Investment Holding by Saheer Ibrahim, who brought years of experience in the UAE fruit and vegetable trade and the supplier relationships that go with it. Since then the company has handled over 1,000 containers, built a sourcing network across 18 countries, and extended its distribution into 6 export markets. It has also become the base from which the group entered Kuwait, where CGS Kuwait now operates as a fresh produce wholesaler. CGS Foodstuff sits within CG Investment Holding, a group of 14 companies operating across the UAE, India, Kuwait and China, with interests in luxury packaging, FMCG distribution, electrical distribution, agri exports and an upcoming hospitality project in Kerala.
